In the year 2020 the Royal Spanish Mint has decided to mint a series of coins dedicated to remembering the History of Aviation. This collection consist in 20 cupronickel coins with a face of 1.5 euros and a maximum mint run of 7,500 units

Mindful of the fact that it is impossible to cover the entire history of world aviation with just 20 coins, the aim has been to represent aircraft which, for a specific reason, are or have become iconic.
